        Join Laura & Gary Block on Saturday, December 20th for the mesmerizing 50th Anniversary production of “Jesus Christ Superstar”.  This iconic musical phenomenon returns to the stage only at the Ordway this holiday season.  The beautiful Ordway Theater in downtown St. Paul, recognized as one of the U.S.’s leading not-for-profit performing arts center. We depart Little Falls at 10:00 a.m. from the northeast corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot.  We’ll also pick up in Royalton, Rice, Waite Park or anywhere else on our route.  Lunch is on your own at Culvers in Maple Grove. The show begins at 2:00. This production won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades.  Appealing to both theater audiences and concert music fans, this production pays tribute to the historic 1971 Billboard Album of the Year while creating a modern, theatrical world this is uniquely fresh and inspiring.   Featuring award-winning lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winning “Jesus Christ Superstar” is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas.  Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation. The legendary score includes: “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”, “Gethsemane” and “Superstar”.  The New York Times describes the show as “An adrenaline-pumping production” and The Guardian says it’s “A Gorgeous, Thrilling, Heavenly Musical”.  Our seats are on the main floor Orchestra Left section beginning in Row M thru V.  These same seats would cost $126.50 if you were to purchase these on your own through the Ordway, plus parking and gas costs - easily in excess of $170 if you chose to drive to St. Paul on your own.
