DayTrippers Dinner Theatre is proud to be back on the stage in Uptown Minneapolis at Scottish Rite Theatre, a National Historic Register building in the Lowry Hill neighborhood with “Nobody’s Perfect” that features a meddling family, an outrageous mix-up and non-stop laughs that collide in this feel-good comedy you won’t want to miss! Join Laura and Gary Block on Wednesday, June 24^th for a delicious lunch buffet and a great show. We leave Little Falls at 9:30 a.m. from the northeast corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Our comfortable North Star motor coach will also pick up in Royalton, Rice, Waite Park or anywhere else on our route. A delicious buffet lunch will be waiting for us in the dining room when we arrive. An all-new buffet includes sliced smoked turkey, sliced country ham with bourbon sauce, roasted red baby potatoes with rosemary garlic, Tuscan vegetable medley, vinaigrette salad with blueberries, strawberries and mandarin oranges, homemade dinner rolls with butter, assorted homemade dessert bars, plus coffee, tea and water. After our lunch, we’ll leave the dining room and step over to the beautiful 200 seat theater and enjoy “’Nobody’s Perfect” When shy single dad and aspiring novelist Leonard Loftus can’t get published, he submits his book to a feminist press under a female pen name – and wins. There’s just one catch: the publisher insists on meeting the author. Desperate for the prize money, Leonard creates a dazzling alter ego, disguising himself as his own flamboyant “aunt”. With his clever teenage daughter and mischievous father in on the secret (for a price), the ruse quickly spins out of control – especially when Leonard falls head over heels for Harriet, the very publisher he’s deceiving. In the spirit of “Some Like It Hot”, “Tootsie” and “Mrs. Doubtfire”, this acclaimed romantic comedy delivers big laughs, fast-paced chaos, and heartfelt charm, packed with sharp one-liners and irresistible humor.
